now this is just too hilarious! that's my tree, witnessing all the action on the night of the premature burn!!
why, hello world! feels like i've been gone for years. internet connection was spotty out on the playa, and it looks like a post i thought was posted to this blog never made it. ah well, i'm home now! i stayed out there for a long time, which was good, because i needed that quiet after-event time to let go of this project. it saw a full, beautiful life cycle out there. it looked just as i'd hoped, and it was even harder than i'd expected to take it down and destroy it.
i've updated my
website to include links to the different
web albums and a
few slideshows.i know that first slideshow's long, but editing takes a while. whenever i visited the tree i took the same 6 photos. so pretty soon i'll have 6 different albums so you can see the tree's progression from each angle. the only other one that's done is the self portraits, which was easy, 'cause they're all just me which made it super easy to edit.
thank you all who participated in this. meeting some of you was my FAVORITE PART of my time out there this year! i was overjoyed! you made this project great. thanks, really!
